No Singing Experience Necessary

If you have a song in your heart, come share it with me! I'll help you enhance the beauty of your natural talent. We'll make it beautiful and all your own.  I want to foster a love for music and singing while expanding my students' horizons. Whether you're a beginner or have been singing for a while, I will first find your range (the measure of the breadth of pitches that a human voice can phonate).  One of my goals is to strengthen and expand your range, to make it more versatile and able to sing a wider variety of songs. I offer to teach an assortment of musical categories ranging from Broadway to Pop, Children's Songs, Religious, and Classical. I also work with students who are interested in Opera, focusing on arias in Itlaian, Spanish and German. I love to let my students pick songs they love and want to learn. In addition, I will introduce new pieces to expand and enhance vocal skills.

Beginning Students

For beginners, I will focus on finding your range, matching pitches, teaching vocal warm ups and proper breathing techniques. We will begin by learning songs in your range as we slowly build an eclectic repertoire of songs.  I will also teach beginning music theory to assist my students who are new to reading music.

Intermediate Students

For intermediate to advanced, we will focus on building, lengthening and strengthening your range, increasing repertoire, working on audition pieces, and performance techniques. We will also spend time enhancing advanced skills including music theory and reading music more accurately.

Recitals & Performance

Every 9 months, there will be a recital that each student is encouraged to participate in to show off newly learned music and skills.  Each student will be asked to play 2 songs of choice. I also encourage participation in local talent shows or musical venues where their skills can be showcased.  I am always willing to help students find avenues where they can practice playing the piano in front of an audience if they desire to do so.
